More Picasso

Today started out with a trip to the Picasso museum, followed by a trip to the beach for me. The museum is housed in the home he was born & raised in. In addition to the art, there are a number of ruins from when the Phoenicians visited Spain in the 6th century BC.

I meant to go swimming in Barcelona, but there were too many other things to see and do. I also wanted to go swimming in San Sebastián, but the weather wasn’t so great.

Málaga, schmálaga

Here we are in Málaga, a charming seaside town in Andalusia: birthplace of Antonio Banderas and Pablo Picasso. We spent the first half of the day just walking around and enjoying the scenery. Lisa says it reminds her of Santa Monica. Like most cities in Spain, the tourist area is a maze of small streets and eminently walkable. I wish the US was more like this.
